I already talked about the infamous Prop 8 in my last blog. Then yesterday I learned about Proposition 102 and Amendment 2 (Ariz and Flo respectively) which are the same thing in different locations. Ensuring Gay Marriage stays ILLEGAL.
Now, Cali had it legal for a while.
It was like a glimmer of hope in Arizona and Floridan gays.
But that was shot down.
Fast.
I can't believe that someone would be so cruel as to take away rights that were given to a large group of people.
Another is what went down in Arkansas.
Initiative 1
Illegalizing adoption by a gay couple.
How would you feel if you couldn't marry the one you loved?
Couldn't take care of a child because of who you loved?
If you saw people purposely vote AGAINST your happiness?
Saying who you are is wrong.
Saying that you're not worthy to be happy because you accept yourself for who you are.
Anyone who purposely says any of this, is a despicable person.
I don't care what the fuck your religion is.
I don't care what kind of family you grew up in.
I couldn't care less if your community shuns it.
I DON'T GIVE A FUCK.
Think for your goddamned self for once.
This isn't a bash against religion, so if you take it like that, think a little harder.
I'm not saying religion is wrong, we're not positive on anything.
I'm just saying that sometimes, we need to try to think about what would make someone else happy.
We're so blind to what others think, that we try to shove our own beliefs down their throats, and assume ourselves supreme.
BUT, no one person is better than any person.
